POETRY ANALYSIS OF DEGREE NORMS

ANALISIS STRATA NORMA PUISI

Analisis strata norma puisi, digunakan untuk mengetahui semua unsur (fenomena) yang terkandung dalam karya sastra.
Sebuah karya sastra terdiri dari berbagai strata (lapis) norma. Masing-masing norma menimbulkan lapis norma dibawahnya. Rene Welek (1968: 151), mengemukakan analisis roman Ingarden, seorang filsuf Polandia, dibukunya Das Literarische Kunstwerk (1931). Ia menganalisis norma-norma sebagai berikut:
A. Lapis bunyi (sound stratum), dalam lapis ini yang terkandung merupakan rangkaian bunyi yang dibatasi jeda, tekanan nada, tempo dll.
B. Lapis arti (unitsof meaning), yang berupa rangkaian fonem, suku kata, frase dan kalimat. Kalimat membentuk alinea, bab, dan keseluruhan cerita.
C. Lapis ketiga:
a. Latar (tempat, waktu, dan suasana),
b. Pelaku,
c. Objek yang dikemukakan,
d. Dunia pengarang yang berupa lukisan atau cerita pengarang.

b. Lapis metafisis, yang berupa sifat metafisis yang sublim (tragis, menakutkan dan mengerikan, dan yang suci)

Karya sastra merupakan sebuah system tanda yang memiliki makna. Tiap-tiap fenomena (unsure) karya sastra mempunya makna (arti). Dengan menggunakan strata norma dan strata semiotik pada analisis, maka akan didapatkan makna sepenuhnya dan dapat dipahami sebagai karya seni yang bersifat puitis (estetis).
Analisis strata norma yang dihubungkan dengan semiotik dan fungsi estetik, adalah sebagai berikut:

orkestrasi musik: efoni (bunyi merdu dan teratur: B, D, G, J) dan kakafoni/cacophony (bunyi parau, tidak enak didengar, tidak teratur: K, P, T, S); Kombinasi vocal dan konsonan tertentu (aliterasi dan asonansi).

Pembicaraan kata meliputi: kosakata, unsur dan aspek ketata bahasaan, masalah konotatif dan denotatif, pilihan kata (diksi), bahasa kiasan (figurative language): (Perbandingan/perumpamaan/simile, Metafora, Perumpamaan epos/ epic simile, Allegori, Personifikasi, Metonimia, dan sinekdoki/synecdokhe). citraan (imajeri), sarana retorika, gaya kalimat, serta gaya sajak.
IRAMA
Irama erat dengan bunyi. Irama “Rhythm.” (Ing); “Rhytme.” (Pr); dari kata Yunani “Reo.” Irama merupakan pergantian turun naik, panjang pendek, keras lembut ucapan dan pergantian bunyi bahasa secara teratur.
Irama dibagi dua, yakni metrum dan ritme.
• Metrum: irama yang tetap, artinya pergantian bunyi sudah tetap, menurut pola tertentu yang disebabkan oleh jumlah suku kata yang tetap dan tekanannya yang tetap, hingga alun suara yang menaik dan menurun itu tetap saja.
• Ritme: irama yang disebabkan pertentangan atau pergantian bunyi tinggi rendah secara teratur, tetapi tidak merupakan jumlah suku kata yang tetap, melainkan hanya menjadi gema dendang penyairnya saja.

Puisi “Salju” karangan Wing Kadjo, merupakan puisi yang bertemakan ‘kehilangan yang menimbulkan harapan’, - harapan untuk bertobat dan mencari pengampunan diri. Pencarian harapan dan pengampunan tersebut dapat digambarkan dalam bait: /kemanakah pergi/ mencari matahari/. Lirikaku tengah memikirkan bagaimana caranya mencari tempat yang dapat mengayominya. Sedangkan simbol ‘matahari’, merupakan simbol harapan gemilang yang dicita-citakannya; yang bisa saja berupa masa depan, kebahagiaan, dan kesuksesan lirikaku. /Ketika salju turun/ Pepohonan kehilangan daun/. Lirik tersebut menerangkan bahwa lirikaku tengah tiada berdaya dengan takdir nasibnya; nasibnya tidak baik, dan lirikaku sedang menerima cobaan. ‘Ketika salju turun’, Simbol salju, merupakan simbol kenaasan, ketidak beruntungan, dan cobaan. Mengacu kepada teori Wellek, yang berkenaan dengan ‘lapis dunia’ kata “salju”, memiliki arti benda dingin, bila dikaitkan dengan realitas yang ada dialam semesta.
Memudarnya semangat, motivasi, dan daya diri ‘akulirik’, tersirat dalam lirik /Ketika salju turun/ Pepohonan kehilangan daun/. Ketika datang cobaan dari Tuhan-Nya, akulirik merasakan secara bertahap semangat, motivasi, dan daya dirinya memudar. / Kemanakah jalan/ Mencari lindungan/. Akulirik pada lirik tersebut tengah mencari tempat perlindungan bagi dirinya, yang menimbulkan ‘daya evokasi’, bahwa akulirik tidak berdaya – oleh karena itu ia mencari perlindungan sebagai tempat untuk menyandarkan kesusahan batinnya. Akulirik memiliki dosa terhadap apa dan siapa, - ketika akulirik memiliki keinginan untuk bertaubat, seakan-akan pintu taubatnya telah tertutup bagi dirinya. Hal tersebut dapat digambarkan penyair dalam liriknya: /Ketika tubuh kuyup/ Dan pintu tertutup//. Namun demikian, akulirik tidak menyerah dengan keadaannya - ia terus berfikir untuk mencari dan berusaha, perhatikan lirik berikut: /Kemanakah lari/ Mencari bara api/ /Ketika bara hati/ Padam tak berarti//. Berdasarkan subjek, pokok pikiran yang hendak dikemukakan penyair lewat puisinya (subjek matter), lirikaku terus berusaha mencari penerangan hati (hidayah), sebagai upaya kesungguhannya dalam mencari harapan dan pengampunan dari Tuhan-Nya. -yang seakan-akan ketika itu cahaya hatinya telah karam karena dilumuri dosa.
Penggunaan bunyi parau, tidak enak didengar, dan tidak teratur ‘K, P, T, S’, memperkuat suasana yang tidak menyenangkan, serba tidak teratur bahkan memilukan. Penggunaan bunyi tersebut Nampak pada lirik-liriknya: /Kemanakah pergi/ Mencari matahari/ Ketika salju turun/ Pepohonan kehilangan daun//. /Kemanakah jalan/ Mencari lindungan/ Ketika tubuh kuyup/ Dan pintu tertutup//. /Kemanakah lari/ Mencari bara api/ Ketika bara hati/ Padam tak berarti//. /Kemanakah pergi / Selain mencuci diri//.
Dominasi penggunaan vocal ‘a dan u’ membuat puisi “Salju”, karangan Wing Kardjo – berasa lebih berat dan rendah. Contoh: /Ketika salju turun/ Pepohonan kehilangan daun//. /Kemanakah jalan/ Mencari lindungan/ Ketika tubuh kuyup/ Dan pintu tertutup//.
“Salju”, karangan Wing Kardjo ini tidak langsung mengutarakan konteks makna yang menjadi ide atau gagasan penyairnya. Hal ini di sebabkan pemilihan diksi konotatif yang dilakukan oleh penyair. Penggunaan kata konotatif tersebut dapat kita rasakan dari simbol-simbol yang dipergunakannya untuk mewakili subjek matternya. Adapun simbol-simbol tersebut adalah sebagai berikut: matahari (pengharapan dan cahaya illahi), salju (musibah atau bencana), Pepohonan kehilangan daun (kondisi yang terjadi pada penyair), kuyup (berlumur dosa), pintu tertutup (tidak ada pengharapan), bara api (dorongan atau motivator), bara hati (semangat), dan mencuci diri (bertaubat).

JANJI ATAS LUKA

Hendak aku terbang ke awan
Dengan daya, ‘ku kepakkan sayap

Kepakkan tadi hayalan tinggi
Tapi, ‘ku tahapkan langkahku
Terkadang tersandung batu
jadi luka penuh darah
biar darahnya mengalir bagai air
biar tertampung cekungan sekalian
merah awan karena darah
bergelora, warnanya indah dipandang mata
hebat bukan??!
